Our Mission at St. Matthew Lutheran Church
St. Matthew Lutheran Church is a fellowship of Christian believers called to grow in Christ, share the Gospel, serve God’s people.
What We Believe
- We believe that we are made right with God and with one another by grace alone (a free gift) in Jesus Christ and not by any action of our own.
- This grace comes to us through means chiefly the Word of God and the Sacraments (baptism and communion).
- As Jesus came as one of us to give himself away, all the way to death, so we are called to give ourselves away in service to others and to find ourselves in losing ourselves.
- This church confesses the Triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- This church confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and the Gospel as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe.
